Privacy Statement
We are committed to protecting your privacy when you use our services. This privacy notice explains how we use your information and how we protect your privacy. Some of your personal data, collected by the Council you have applied to, will be used by the Bedfordshire Homefinder scheme, hosted by Home Connections, to enable you to bid for properties through the scheme. Your personal data will include your name, address and contact telephone number and your email address. Bedfordshire Homefinder also stores your date of birth and National Insurance number and information about your housing need and priority assessment. Your personal data will be:
- Processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner
- Collected for a specified and legitimate purpose
- Adequate, relevant and limited
- Accurate
- Kept no longer than is necessary
- Processed in line with your rights
- Secure
- Not transferred to countries outside the European Union

Bedfordshire Homefinder retains personal information during the period of the relationship we have with you and for a set period afterwards to allow us to meet legal obligations and to prevent fraud.
Your personal data will be used by the Bedfordshire Homefinder Partnership solely for the purposes of processing bids placed on properties advertised through the scheme. If you bid successfully for a property owned by another housing provider, any relevant information about you will be provided to them, to enable them to contact you and confirm your suitability for the property. If you bid for such a property, you will be deemed to have consented for your information to be shared with the other provider.
